This mural highlights the shapes and textures of several native plants planted in the home’s flowerbeds, including solidago, wild senna, false indigo, and blue lobelia. They are depicted in a stage just before blooming, creating an understated color palette and a feeling of optimism about the future.

The homeowner was turning part of their private residence into a guest suite and wanted to welcome their visitors with the vibrancy of Alaskan nature! The design spans multiple rooms and features abstracted renditions of birch trees, fireweed, Mount Denali, and an aerial view of the Tanana River basin.
Walnut Hills Park Mural Refresh
Dayton, Ohio
This collaboration with the Walnut Hills Neighborhood Association entailed the refresh and expansion of an existing mural in a neighborhood park.
- Colors were refreshed and some existing house colors were changed to create a more vibrant palette
- Houses were added to finish out the width of the stairs and door details were added to provide contrast
- A skyline and treeline accent was added to the top to evoke the view of the downtown from the park
- Custom stencils were created to facilitate the participation of volunteers
- The stair runs were refreshed with an alternating botanical pattern of walnut branches and clover
I also created a mockup for a complementary mural on the bathroom near the splash pad of the same park.
